Finally, we normalize the numbers so that the league average for Adjusted Line Yards per carry is the same as the league average for RB yards per carry. These stats are explained further here . Note that in earlier seasons, numbers were normalized to the average RB yards per carry over multiple years. A change in the 2017 offseason has set each year to normalize RB yards per carry for that season only. As of right now, that change is only made on the 2016 and 2017 OL/DL pages.
